shirt.woot Design: Try Me

I did the original drawing that became today’s shirt.woot offering. The shirt looks like this:

Try Me

In case you’re interested in this sort of thing, here’s what the version I submitted looked like:

Try Me

My very first sketch just said “Try Me,” but as I worked on it I came to decide “Try Me, Turkey” was funnier. As you can see, Woot’s St. Louis staff disagreed with me and changed it back. They also chose a different font and color for the words, and eliminated one of my juicy golden-brown turkey-body colors. Every color means another pass through the screening machine (or something), so I can understand why they wanted to do that.

NY METRO Illustration: Layoffs

I illustrated an article in yesterday’s NY METRO paper about surviving layoffs. It looked like this:

NY METRO Illustration: Cyber Santa

An illustration of mine supposedly ran in the NY METRO paper this week. It went with an article about holiday shopping online, and looked like this:

You can read the paper online here — but not the issue in which this drawing appeared; that one doesn’t load.
